Jake never saw himself in an office, sitting at a desk, crunching numbers, and as a senior in high school he finally found his long, lost love: filmmaking. What attracted him to film was its power to touch hearts, harness emotions, and inspire actions. After being accepted to Texas A&M, he quickly realized engineering was not the job for him and decided to pursue his passion in film. At A&M, he chased after every opportunity he could lay his hands on to educate him more on the art of film.
Today Jake resides in the great city of Austin and aspires to be the best at what he does. Besides being behind a camera or in front of a computer his passions include traveling, cooking, working out, the outdoors, movies, and dark chocolate. Over the past 7 years he's been blessed by the glorious opportunity of combining two of his favorite passions filmmaking and traveling. Creating films in several other countries including, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, France, Germany, Spain, and England, Jake hopes he's got plenty of miles left in him to show people worlds they have never seen.
Founding his own company One Spark Films in 2008 and living in a city and country that have so much to offer, he hopes that through filmmaking he can find a way to give back to the city and world he loves.
